Is 512MB NVIDIA GeForce 9600M good enough?

I'm in the process of buying a new laptop and have found one but one concern is, I'd like to be able to play GTA IV & Sims 3 but am not sure if a 512MB NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT is a good enough graphics card. Here are the other specs:
It's an Acer Aspire AS6935g:
PROCESSOR
Intel Core 2 Duo T6400 (2.0GHz)

MEMORY
3GB DDR2

HARD DRIVE
320GB 7200 RPM SATA Hard Drive

IF you see any problems anywhere else here, let me know.

It can handle those games fine on medium-low settings on a low resolution like 1366x768

i have a laptop with the same graphics card and it handles games well.. but just dont spend more than 700-800$ on laptops with such graphics cards.
