Only one processor runs while in game

Hello, my pc specs can be found here:

While I am running a relatively old game (but updated very frequently), the CPU usage shows only 1 processor running at full load (100%) while all three other processors are pretty much idle (less than 5%).

I use a sidebar gadget that shows me processor usage.

Could there be something wrong with my processor? Or is there some other issue?

Thats probably why. Its a old game. It wasn't until recently that game devs started to design a game to use more than just 1 core.

Its nothing wrong with your CPU, its the game thats too old to be able to use more than 1 core.

I agree with jimmysmitty. By the way, why can't you tell us which game this is?

+1 to both the comments, many old games aren't even coded to run anymore than two cores. Usual games even today just use two cores, its rare when they are coded for 3 or more cores.

try and look in the games config. files sometimes you can force the program to use more cores.
