** Reinstalling ::: "A required CD/DVD device driver is missing" **

My hard drive died so now I have to re install everything.

I have a total of 3 hard drives (1 for operating system and programs, 2 for all my music projects, 3 for all the sounds I use). The hard drive that died was the one that my operating system was on.

I put the new hard drive in place of the dead one and when I turn on the computer it says " Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device." So I put in the Windows 7 DVD. But just after I select the language on the installation, it says:::

"A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing. If you have a driver floppy disk, CD, DVD or USB flash drive, please insert it now. NOTE: If the Windows installation media is in the CD/DVD drive, you can safely remove it for this step"

What does this mean and what can I do to make Windows 7 install properly?

I appreciate your help! ;)

Could be, if possible use a different drive, reseat the connection on the drive itself, and use a different plug on the motherboard.

I actually haven't seen that error before myself so I'm not sure why it'd show up.

In all likelyhood he won't check back here since his issue is fixed. I hate it when people don't say what the problem was. But at least he said stuff back, sometimes if they manage to fix it they don't post again at all.
