  1. You need a motherboard with a 1156 socket. That's about it.

    What's your current hardware specs?
  2. right now im running on the original Acer Aspire T180 specs
    It has :
    - AMD Athlon 64 processor 3500t 2.20 Ghz
    -1.00 Gb ram
    32 bit opperating system
  3. Your motherboard won't support the i7 CPU.

Your RAM is incompatible with the 1156 socket motherboards.

To upgrade to that CPU, would require a new motherboard, and new RAM as well. If you have an OEM version of windows, you'll need a new copy of windows as well. This would be a pretty expensive overhaul.
  4. I have just installed Windows 7
can you suggest any decent processors
I am trying to keep it under $200
  5. There are no BIOS updates for your PC, so there aren't any good options. You could upgrade the CPU, but there's no guarantee that the BIOS will recognize it.
