I want to put the new i7 processor into my Acer Aspire T180
wha do I need to pake this happen
is it even compatable my current processor is the AMD athlon 64 processor 3500t 2.2Gh

To make this happen you would need to replace the following:

CPU
Motherboard
RAM
Graphics card
PSU

Amazingly all you need to add is a case and a HDD and you just bought a whole new computer.

What do you need the i7 for? You most likely don't, so you could just build a budget AM3 build if you want to upgrade.

No, the i7 is not compatible with your AMD based system. As the_punkinator states, you would have to essentially build an entire new system to go from the Athlon 64 to an i7.
