How to enable wifi on belkin

Hello,
My laptop already connected to the modem router N but the connectivity still promt "Limited connectivity" Please guide

Connect wired to the router first. Set up the security in the router firmware page. Disconnect wired connection. Open wifi control panel. Apply security settings to laptop. Connect wirelessly.
