New PSU now

Biostar TA770E AM2+
AMD64 AthlonII 240 X2 (2.8GHz) AM3
Palit GeForce GTS450 1GB
Crucial 2GB DDR2 800MHz
CiT 500w (+12V1 = 14A, +12V2 = 13A)
CiT 1008 Piano-black Midi-ATX case
160GB SATA 3.5" 7200rpm WD Blue

I am told that I should get a new PSU for my own good, I found this one at the performance PSU section at CCL Online UK. What do you lot think of it? I am on a tight budget here since I just bought a GTS450.

Thanks

  1. Tight budget? That's a common problem. People believe they can use a low budget power supply for a high end card. I have no idea how long your ps will last. You'll just have to try it.
  2. This would be more than enough for your system and is reasonably priced for what you get:

Or if you MUST have 650 watts:

Corsair Power supplies are very highly rated. I have had the 620W Corsair HX620W Modular Power Supply for over two years powering first a XFX7900GS and then a EVGA 9800GTX+ and it has never given me a minute of trouble
