What processor

Hello,i want a CPU that cost less than 200 dlls my port is LGA 775 and it takes any 775 CPU i want it for playing new games and running aplications like photoshop, Maya etc..
I had this 4 in mind
Core2 Duo E7500 2.93GHz - for 125$
Core 2 Quad Q8300 2.5GHz -for 150$
Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0GHz- for 170$
or Core 2 Quad Q8400 2.66GHz 170$
i hope you guys could guy me in this one because i don't really know the difference between quad core and core duo and whats better for gaming or what not

I would grab the Q8300 and overclock it to 3.0ghz

A good majority of games are coded for quad core, especially the newer ones and the soon to be released titles, so buying a dual core isn't your best bet.

A cpu either works or it doesn't, no real way to refurbish it. It's probably just a newish open box item.

i think i might buy that one the Q9500 for 150$ seems like a good deal, but one last question it has 6MB of cache and some of the others have 4MB does this make a big difference?

im about to order the refurbished one but it doesn't say if it comes with heat sink =S

Most refurbished doesn't come with heatsink you have to buy one.

i just bought the Q8300 in newegg for 150 since i have an assus motherboard ill OC it i hope it was a good option and i hope i dont regret the buy .. thanks everyone for all the help =)
