What port should I connect my SSD in my motherboard for better performance? I'll be getting an asrock extreme4 or a gigabyte z77 UD3h and my SSD is a samsung 830 or a crucial m4

Read the manual and connect it to the Sata 6GB port
for extreme4 - grey slots
for ud3h - white slots

On either motherboard connect your SSD to one of the Intel 6Gb/s ports and set the port to AHCI mode for best performance.
