Crossfire: 512mb with 1gb ?

I was wondering if i will be able to crossfire 4850 512mb with a 4850 1gb?

Also, there is a GDDR5 512mb version of the 4850, can i crossfire it with a GDDR3 512mb 4850?

You can, it just scales back to the slowest card.
So the 1G scales back to 512MB.

Yes, you can use either card but it will be the same as crossfiring with another DDR3 512mb HD4850.

thank you both, the reason is i picked up a 4850 on ebay and wanted to crossfire it, but the cheapest option i have now is the GDDR5 1gb version
