When using both SSD and HDD, how do I make everything save to the HDD?

I have the OS loaded on the SSD but thats all I want to put on it. I did some research and found how to change the registry path for Program Files and Program Files (x86) so I have already done that. But it seems to still want to save pictures and any media files I want to put on the desktop on the SSD. How can I change this? Thanks in advance!

On a side note now... I just started installing programs I use starting with skype. It still downloaded to the SSD. Not sure what I'm doing wrong...

"I did some research and found how to change the registry path for Program Files and Program Files (x86)"

That will do nothing to solve your particular problem which is caused by a lack of understanding.

The Windows desktop IS on your SSD, so do not put files on the desktop if you don't want them on your SSD!

Open a window for your HDD in Windows Explorer/My Computer.
Create new folders if necessary for Pictures etc.
Open those folders and put your files into them.
Then they will not be on your SSD.
