Just got a Sapphire HD 5850 and put it into my system and it doesn't work. The system powers on and the fan on the video card is on, I have two 6 pin connectors from a 550 watt psu plugged in to the card. The monitor just stays black though. I have tried plugging in a monitor to each of the dvi ports separately and with two monitors at the same time.
My motherboard is a Gigabyte ga-785gmt-usb3. It has on board video which is what I was using before. I've tried with the on board video enabled, disabled, and on auto same result. One other strange thing is that when I turn my computer on with the new video card in it, I can't power off using the power button, I have to use the off switch on my power supply.
Anyone know what might be the problem?
