My new HTPC system is.
A10 5700
Gigabyte GA-F2A75M-D3H
8GB DDR3 1866
500 GB WD Black 2.5 HDD (Win7 Home premium).
2TB WD Green (data).
This system works fine.
The issues I have is that I have a 2TB SATA drive (Spinpoint F2) in my old C2D HTPC that I want to swap over to the new PC. This drive contains just data (my ripped DVD VOBs).
The BIOS can't see this drive. I feel like I have tried everything.
AHCI on and off.
Legacy support only.
IDE mode.
Last time I tried to boot with this drive installed, the computer would not boot, and culminated with a reinstall of windows!
What am I missing here?
