Hello -

I am noob @ this so I apologize b4 hand if I sound rIdiculous with some questions I have.

I am building a PC for the 1st time to prepare for WOW: Cataclysm mostly and I went to newegg.com and created a wishlist but it hasnt gone public yet. However, I thought I would list the equipment I got to get started. I am buying piece-by-piece, paycheck-by-paycheck so im not a real tight budget but I thought this selection was the best for value and performance combined.

any thoughts would help:

Case - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129042 - baught already

Hard Drive - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136284

Motherboard - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131398

GPU - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102873

CD driver - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827131061

PSU - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817339024 - baught already

Memory - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231303

CPU - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103882

OS - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832116754

Any advice or is this pretty decent setup for the price? Do I need an additional heatsink? Am I missing anything? Is there any compatibility issues you forsee?

thank you,
Tanner

Couple of things...

The two items you purchase to some point are bad ideas... 1) Your PSU is "cheap" and could put your system at risk. You don't want to skimp on a power supply & 2) The Antec 300 is a great case but I would've went with either the Antec 300 Illusion to have the added fans needed or go with the Cooler Master HAF 912

As for the remaining components...

Motherboard & CPU Combo: AMD Athlon II X4 640 Propus 3.0GHz & ASUS M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3 AM3 AMD 880G SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 - Faster CPU and Better Motherboard

Hard Drive: SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive

GPU & OS Combo: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OEM...

As for the ability to play WoW maxed out, we need to know your monitor resolution first.

Thank you for the advice. As for the PSU I baught already, I will see if I can send it back and get something else.

I was interested in getting a Monitor too, so if you can refer to me a good deal I would appreciate it.

I got an RMA approval for the PSU, but I don't think I'll be able to return the Case.

with that, can someone point me in the right direction for credible PSU? 650W is all I pretty much need right?
