First time build.......question about cords, etc....

I am about to buy the following list. However, what other cords do I need to add to my cart that will be necessary for the install of all this hardware? I know some cords will be supplied...but am I right in assuming that things like my hard drive need separately purchased ones? I would highly appreciate the help!

List:
Sony Optiarc CD/DVD Burner

This is a grand total of $992 with shipping....I already have my PSU (Corsair 650TX) and I'm getting a new in box Asus 1GB GTX 460 from a friend. I'm also getting a Hyper 212 to cool things down on the i5-750. So that will be my total setup....what all cords will I need to make this work!?!?

More about first time build question cords
  1. Your motherboard will come with SATA cables, IDE cables, and maybe even a floppy cable if there's a floppy controller on that motherboard. As for everything else, you should be OK. This is a list of accessories that come with the motherboard:

    1 x UltraDMA 133/100/66 cable
    2 in 1 Q-connector
    2 x Serial ATA 3.0Gb/s cables
    2 x Serial ATA 6.0Gb/s cables
    1 x 2-port USB and eSATA module
    1 x SLI Bridge
    ASUS Q-Shield

Also your power supply has the required PCI-E power connectors for your graphics card, so you should be set. Good luck.

So this will cover everything I need to install?

:( Sorry, I'm SUPER new at this....learning something new every 5 minutes! Glad to have an awesome forum like this to ask questions though.
  3. No not quite...maybe. Your hard drive is "bare bones", which "usually" means your going to need a SATA cable. Call newegg support to confirm what
the items come with since the specs don't say otherwise.

EDIT: Where the hell's the delete button lol? IGNORE what I just posted, motherboard comes with everything you need.
