I'm looking to build my first computer. I plan on using it for gaming (BF Bad Company 2, COD), photoshop CS3, music , and movies. I'm transferring a few components from my old system into the new. Here are the new components I plan on buying.

Ultra X-Blaster Mid-Tower Case (550 PS) - http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/ite...
AMD Athlon II X3 440 w/fan - http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/ite...
ASUS M2N68-AM PLUS Motherboard - http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/ite...
Ultra 120mm Case Fan - http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/ite...

This adds up to about $227 (I'd like to keep it under $300 for all the new stuff)

I already have:

Galaxy Nvidea 9600GT graphics card
2GB DDR2 Ram PC2-5300 (333MHz)
WD 250GB Hard Drive
CD/DVD RW Burner

Will all this be compatible? Recommendations? Suggestions? Thanks.

NForce 630a like 740G, 690G and all Nvidia/AMD chipsets prior to GF8100 at least are all AM2 tech/mobos really with HT Limitation when used with an AM2+/AM3 socket chip and still on PCIe gen 1.0/1.1. True AM2+/AM3 had moved over to full PCIe and suffer no HT penalty as of 2008 Lastly the design specification documents state true AM2+/AM3 mobos as having dual plane VRMs In summary even with tight $$ try to hit a 760G at least ..or a cheap 770 ^^

*Due to the chipset limitation, the AM3/AM2+ CPU runs at HT1 (1000MHz).
