Shopping for a new tb hd, and noticed that the width is now listed as 4" as opposed to the old 3.5". Can't believe they would change the width after all these years, but I can beleive that they are too chintzy to use the extra ink to print out the correct dimensions.
Either way, it's worth asking. Are the new tb SATA drives actually 4" wide or are they still compatible with my old case tray?
I was doing some research for building a case from scratch and came across this. Its a few months old, but..... The external dimension of the hard drive case is 4" wide. the 3.5" dimension refers to the hard drive platter. The dimensions have not changed.
