Which HD 4850?

Ok, I'm seconds from buying a new card on Newegg. My wife capped me at $100, so that rules out the 5770 that I really want. Anyway, there is a Gigabyte 4850 512mb or for $10 more a Gigabyte 4850 1gb. Is the 1gb card worth the extra $10 bucks or will I not really notice the difference.

The gap between the two at lower resolutions is maybe 1-2FPS. As your resolution increases the gap widens a little as the 1GB can cope with the higher res a little better.

You could always try and compromise with the wife for the extra $40 to get a 5770. Just say, but I won't have to replace it as quickly and it is a much better choice. Just say it is a hobby and there is nothing with a nice hobby.
