How to fix a flash drive that wont let me add files

my flash drive is empty... I took all my old files off of it because it kept saying that there was not enough room to add a mp3 file. even after I removed everything it still say there is not enough room... thought there clearly is enough... does anyone know how to fix this bc its my only flash drive and im producer/ recording artist and I need to transfer files from on computer to another

You will also need to delete the old files, that you deleted off the usb drive, in the Recycle Bin. If for some reason that doesn't work, then reformat the USB drive.
