hi all.
it maybe a :fou: topic but i really stock to bay a new VGA.(according :http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/294182-33-cross-fire-5770-5850)
i have to by 5000xxx series ati card.so wich one do you suggest me ?
1:HD 5850 369$
2:HD 5870 440$
3:GTX 465 ???$

Who suggest me Holding hands till the Value become cheaper?

MBB:Gigabyte p55A-UD3P (2*PCIE 16X)
power:cooler master silence pro m 700

If you are looking for value. I suggest the GTX460 1GB card. They are $230 and perform amazing with any modern game. It even outperforms the 5850 in a few cases. It is REALLY overclockable, people are gteting 8000-850MHz on them. The next step up would be a 5850 or GTX470 for around $300. I think I would take the GTX470 over the 5850 as it does best it in most games. They are both pretty overclockable. The only thing to keep in mind is the GTX470 does suck more juice and produces some heat. The 5850 uses less power and uses less power.

Yes but as you see it beats 5850 by 1 FPS on 1680x1050,on all other resolutions a 5850 is faster.(The difference isn't very much though).
GTX 460's direct competitor is HD 5830 IMO,whereas GTX 470 competes with a 5850.There may be slightly different results because of different drivers being used.

If the 5850 is $369, the $300 for the GTX460 is probably about right. What does a GTX470 run? It should run about the same as a 5850. At least it does here. The 5850 and GTX470 are around the same performance with the 470 outperforming in more cases than not. It is up to what you can really afford. They are all good cards that overclock pretty well.

In that case, like Maziar said, unless you plan on going SLI, it doesn't matter if your mobo supports SLI. If you're happy with one powerhouse card (GTX480/ HD5970), then you 'may not' need to go SLI. However, if you're quite certain and want to leave room for an SLI option tomorrow, then go with the 460 today and you can pick up another one later.

Dual 460's are the bang for the buck today....who knows about tomorrow! Just make sure you get the 1gb 256-bit version, if you decide on the 460.

Right^
For anything faster than 5850(or SLI/CF) i would first recommend getting a new monitor first.

monitor?what do you mean maziar?
so there is 5$ Price difference between 5850 and GTX460 1GB 256Bit .which card is win in this case?
