The best value is the HD 5850. If you can go for the GTX 460 I suggest you do.

Hello
Between those,HD 5870 is the fastest performer but like Lmeow said, the best value is 5850.However you have to decided that whether 10-15% more performance is worth paying $70 or more, for some user its not(because they OC their 5850).

If you are looking for value. I suggest the GTX460 1GB card. They are $230 and perform amazing with any modern game. It even outperforms the 5850 in a few cases. It is REALLY overclockable, people are gteting 8000-850MHz on them. The next step up would be a 5850 or GTX470 for around $300. I think I would take the GTX470 over the 5850 as it does best it in most games. They are both pretty overclockable. The only thing to keep in mind is the GTX470 does suck more juice and produces some heat. The 5850 uses less power and uses less power.

GTX 460(Stock) doesn't outperform a 5850,it however beats 5830 in most cases

Yes but as you see it beats 5850 by 1 FPS on 1680x1050,on all other resolutions a 5850 is faster.(The difference isn't very much though).
GTX 460's direct competitor is HD 5830 IMO,whereas GTX 470 competes with a 5850.There may be slightly different results because of different drivers being used.

Oh no i absolutely agree. I was just making a point that the GTX460 doesn't trail by all that much.

Unfortunately in my country for example GTX 460 cost 300$ not 230% and it is so bad.
how about GTX 465 is it good as good as 5850?

The GTX 465 is slower than the GTX 460 in most cases and uses around 50 W more power and runs hotter too. The GTX 465 performance wise is closer to an HD 5830 than an HD 5850.

If the 5850 is $369, the $300 for the GTX460 is probably about right. What does a GTX470 run? It should run about the same as a 5850. At least it does here. The 5850 and GTX470 are around the same performance with the 470 outperforming in more cases than not. It is up to what you can really afford. They are all good cards that overclock pretty well.

it's better i bay Nvidia cards because my mbb just support SLI and it's Providence.
but i have an experience working with GTX 470.i remember when i played crysis in very hight detail and 1920*1200 its like Oil heater and i could't hold my hand behind card Air output.so nose is very load and ...

I don't agree about buying Nvidia cards because your motherboard supports SLI. If you are going SLI,then yes you are right but if you want to use a single card, then an ATI card should work fine without any problems on a SLI motherboard.

what if i want to by second card for future!!

In that case, like Maziar said, unless you plan on going SLI, it doesn't matter if your mobo supports SLI. If you're happy with one powerhouse card (GTX480/ HD5970), then you 'may not' need to go SLI. However, if you're quite certain and want to leave room for an SLI option tomorrow, then go with the 460 today and you can pick up another one later.

Dual 460's are the bang for the buck today....who knows about tomorrow! Just make sure you get the 1gb 256-bit version, if you decide on the 460.

Right^
For anything faster than 5850(or SLI/CF) i would first recommend getting a new monitor first.

monitor?what do you mean maziar?
so there is 5$ Price difference between 5850 and GTX460 1GB 256Bit .which card is win in this case?

I meant getting a monitor with 1920x1080+ resolution for a SLI/CF setup.
And HD 5850 is faster than a GTX 460,like i said HD 5830 is comparable to GTX 460.So its like this: GTX 470>HD 5850>GTX 460>HD 5830
