Stock HSF question

I am thinking of getting a i7 950. My question is, if I am not planning to OC it, do I need anything but the Stock HSF?

No. The stock hsf is good, although little noisy.

I have my i7 920 clocked to 3.6ghz on the stock cooler with decent temps. Your 950 at 3.06ghz will easily be cooled by the stock cooler.

A decent aftermarket cooler will keep your cpu cooler and be quieter than stock but isn't a necessity.

Just monitor your temps and noise levels and go from there.
