Hello,
I am running an e6600,2 gigs ram,gtx460 vid card, with win732bit. I play mostly wow and my performance is suspect. Should this setup run WoW better?

Ive heard the newer expansions of WOW (Wrath iof the Lich king, etc) are optimized for quad core CPU's. The GTX 460 sounds good, al;though you didn't mention your resolution.

It sounds like a socket 775, so I would check into dropping a quad core in there, and consider getting more ram.

As vdr said, you can build a very budget computer using the i3 processor that will run WoW blazing fast. If you would tell us what kind of budget restrictions you have we could definitely help you out with that.

Great choice! personally I would go for the 2500k as you would have the option for easy overclocking if you chose to try it. Its about the same price, maybe a couple bucks more. But the core i5 is a great choice either way.
So about $200 for CPU, $100 for a mobo and $50 for 4 gigs of ram. I've even seen 8 gigs for around $60, so thats a pretty nice system right there.

Ok, fixed it! Yes, its the 2500k.

A Z68 mobo would be ideal. I'll give ya a couple budget options and you can take it from there. I am picking dual graphics capable boards, there are others that would be cheaper I'd guess if that wasn't important to you,

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128520 Gigabyte board, $110.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813138319 Biostar, cheap $99!

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131781 ASUS, 130 but no reviews yet.

Can't see anything on that link. But I would go with the cheapest modules and free shipping unless you have a window and care about aesthetics. I'd get DDR3 1600 CL8, unless CL9 is significantly cheaper which it often is. I see no reason to get less than 8 gigs at these prices.
