HDD doesn't show

I need help.

I took the HDD from my old laptop, bought an enclosure and now I'm trying to install it.

It doesnt pop up, doesnt show up in computer management or in device manager. What do I have to do? There is some important information that I really need from this hdd.

Can you see the enclosure with UVCView, with or without the drive installed?

Is your drive an IDE or SATA? If IDE, have you jumpered it as Master?
