Honestly, neither but if I had to choose I'd choose the GTX 590. The HD 6990 runs hot and is too noisy. IMO SLI GTX 580.

If want a ultra high-end and cannot wait for the LGA 2011 then get an ASUS P8P67 WS Revolution; 3-WAY + PhysX.
