Do you have to use sata drive in new gam68ms2p mother board

I have recently replaced my motherboard and i have 2 hdd that are not sata do you have to use sata drive in new gam68ms2p mother board cause i am geting error cant find boot disk i have the cd room hooked up where the sata drives go is this wrong
