The Phenom II X4 955 is a much better deal if you are going to overclock. They both have unlocked multipliers so all you're paying for with the 965 is a slightly higher stock clock speed. The 965s are supposed to be binned slightly better, but I don't really believe that many of them are.

AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition Quad Core Processor 3.2GHZ AM3 8MB Cache 125W Retail Box

Very good ram at a very good price (Davcon's choices from Newegg are a better value):

    G.SKILL F3-12800CL7D-4GBECO Eco PC3-12800 4GB 2X2GB DDR3-1600 CL7-8-7-24 1.35V Memory Kit

The Radeon HD 5850s are much more powerful and more efficient. NCIX has a very good sale on one right now:

    Powercolor Radeon HD 5850 AX5850 1GBD5-DH 1GB PCI-E Video Card
    $249.99 after a $15 rebate
