Can intel 2 run 4gb of RAM

Hi i run a windows 7 64-bit operating system
with a:

. intel 2 Duo

. ASUS P5GC-MX - 1333

. 4GB (2.87 usable)

why is it that it won't run 4 GB
has it got to do with the processor being Intel 2 or is it something else

What you are seeing is a by-product of the chipset your mobo uses. Also, I am going to assume your integrated video controller is using a portion of your memory.

Are you using the on-board video or a stand-alone video card?

i am unsure
how find out and how does finding this out help
with the RAM
also (i know i sound like a noob when i say this this)
what is the chipset and what does it do

also i believe the video card is on board
unless you mean the graphics card

i think it is an on board video card
unless your talking about the graphics
card andif so is there anyway to draw out more
memory

Since you are using the video card that is built into your motherboard, you should be able to configure how much memory is allocated for its use in your BIOS. Depending on whether you allocate more or less memory for the video card will affect how much memory is available to the rest of your system.
