Hello all. I have a friend who does lots of video, picture, and so on editing, basically art stuff. She claims things are easier to do on Mac. Mac's also happen to cost 2x more and use outdated parts. She needs CS5, but also 3DS Max, which only runs on Windows. I likely wont be able to give up precious Apple, but she needs windows. Now besides the frowned upon Hackintosh path, theres also this:

http://www.parallels.com/products/desktop/

So what will be the best way to do all this?

More about : mac

The Parallels' option doesn't look too bad but any VM will do the job.

Parallels would work, but it is still an emulation, and you wont get the full hardware in 3DsMax. The other option is bootcamp.

Though the best way is really give up apple. Honestly, with the exception of spaces, Windows is just as functional and simpler in some case.
