Guys,

Id like to use an old LG DVD-ROM drive with my new computer which ive built. Unfortunately as is now the case everywhere my new mobo has no PATA connection to allow me to do this. Ive noticed that there are various gadgets around which which supposedly will convert from PATA. Firstly what would be the best method for me to use.

1)PATA PCi card
2)PATA to USB converter
3)PATA to SATA

Im running a dual boot system with XP and 7(64) it doesnt matter to me which one i use as long as one works
If anybodys had experience with this id appreciate an advice you can give.

Thanks guys

Steve

For the price of a converter you should be looking at a new SATA DVD/CD drive.
