I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but I have not been able to find a concrete answer. Sometime this week I am putting together a new gaming PC. Ive always preferred AMD over Intel and Nvidia over ATI. Is there any reason why I should not build my system with the intent of going SLi at a later date? I've not been able to really find anyone who has had major headaches with it. Any input would be appreciated, thanks.

Im aware of these things, however im more interested as to why I shouldnt go SLi with an AMD CPU. The general consensus is these combos work best: AMD/ATI or INTEL/NVIDIA.

well, because the NV chipsets on the AMD platform just suck

though if you search through the forums, there are a number of people getting SLI to work on their AMD chipset based motherbaords
