Is it possible to swap an existing AMD PHENOM 8750 TRIPLE CORE processer with an AMD ATHLON 11 6000 two core (both are amd socket 2 without any modifications?

Depends on your motherboard specs; some older oem boards by hp or dell have a cpu limit of 65-95 watts. If the 6000 is over 95 watts, then it may not post. IF your board is non oem and is listed on the manufacturer's website, then look under "cpu support". Hp lists some cpu options on it's website; dell doesn't.
