Hi I just bought a evga geforce gts450 and don't know what kind of psu i should get. What kind of recommendations do u guys have.

My system is:
AMD Phenom 9650 quad-core 2.3 GHZ
8 GB of ram PC2-6400
750 GB HDD 7200 rpm
300w psu

Solution
You do not need a 600W PSU for that card. Based on my assumptions about fans and other minor details, the PSU calculator at http://www.extreme.outervision.com/PSUEngine suggests that 330W would be sufficient. For future expansion, I would suggest that 500W-550W would be enough, but if you aren't planning to expand this one again (after all, it IS an old CPU and socket), you would be perfectly satisfied by a 380W Antec Earthwatts for just $45.

yes that definitely helps thank you, but is there anyway I can get away with something a bit cheaper like around $60 range? I'm only gonna use that 1 video card and not gonna upgrade for a long time. I want something that will run my system good and my video card but not take a whole lot out of my wallet.

Thanks,

I read some reviews, look what protection each offers, warranty (customer service), the efficiency and the overall quality of it.
