I have 2 470's and the bottom one is a MSI twin Frozr II and right under that I have a 8400 that I am running physx on. Well the MSI card hasn't ever set perfectly straight and had a slight lag to it. I was playing today and apparently it was still settling a bit and the back corner of my 8400 caught the back fan on the MSI and took it out. Everything is still running ok temp wise with the card but I can't seem to find anything on MSI's site to get it repaired or possibly just order a new fan. Anyone have any ideas? I guess if I can't fix it and the temps are ok I will keep it going but I would really like to fix it. Worst case in 6 months I will pick up a 5970 or another 470 if it doesn't last.

K so started looking for the fan replacement here is the info. It is a Power Logic DC 12v 4 pin brushless fan Model PLD08010S12HH. I will contact Power Logic but maybe some one out there knows a site i could order a similar one? The back screws on with a 3 hole pattern with the tabs spaced equally.

you can probably get a whole new aftermarket heatsink & fan combo for the card.

also, remove the 8400, its not needed if you already have 2 x 470's

yeah way ahead of you on removing the 8400 and why would I spend 50-100 bucks on another cooler when all I need is a new fan?

So I haven't heard back from power logic I have sent multiple emails but still nothing. I also called MSI and they told me that they can't send me a new fan I would have to send them my card to get it repaired, and it was gonna cost me around 50$ plus shipping. Thats not really an option for me so does anyone else know were I could get a new fan?

Are the fans anything special? I havn't taken apart an MSI Twin Frozr but maybe you can just use any old fan in its place?

Anyway how long have you had it and where did you get it?

I have had it a month and I bought it from newegg and they are 12v dish fans that are 80mm x 10mm. Also they use a 4 pin connector and I think that might be a pwm fan? Not sure about that. Right now I have a 80mm case fan super glued to the card and plugged to my mobo. If nothing else that seem to be working awesome. Here is a pick of what the fan looks like
