Worth $4k? Tags: New Build Systems Last response: October 5, 2010 8:54 AM in Systems Share sactownbwoy September 27, 2010 2:35:34 AM Came across this ad for a homebuilt PC. Guy is asking $4k for it. I don't think it's worth that much, what do you guys think? The SSD and the PSU together net about $800, which mostly is wasted money. Sound card is also not needed because MOBO has integrated ones already. The graphics cards are top of the line obsolete tech. The monitors and printer are about $260 each. I would say if he sold it for $2500 then it would be a deal, but $4000 is not worth it. Just save yourself some money and start a thread for a full computer system w/monitors, printer, kb&m, OS, desk, chair and lamp for $4000. m 0 l hunter315 September 27, 2010 2:53:41 AM Not at all worth 4k. You can build a better performing setup for about 2k. m 0 l Related resources 4K Gaming worth the $$$? - Forum is upgrade monitor from 24 inch 1080p to 4K 24 inch worth to buy??? - Forum What is a 4K monitor and is it worth it? - Forum 4K on a laptop screen: is it worth it? - Forum SAMSUNG U28D590D 4k Worth it? - Forum Can't find your answer ? Just thought it was funny that the guy was asking $4k for it and wanted to share. When I saw it I had a nice little laugh at the money he wasted building it. m 0 l batuchka September 27, 2010 8:24:33 AM HD 6k and Nvidia Kepler incoming? I would think that at that price you'd price out most besides enthusiasts, who know better... Pretty funny. m 0 l sactownbwoy October 5, 2010 8:54:46 AM He still has it for sell at that price. I don't know who he is targeting but whomever it is, he isn't hitting them m 0 l Can't find your answer ? Ask ! Publish Related resources Are 4k monitors worth it?
