K11 Microarchitecture understanding.

The sucessor to the k10 microarchtecture,( what we know as the Phenom line), codenamed: Bulldozer, has been very confusing in the name scheme. Even though roadmaps have been out, the scheme seems a little vague. Here is an example of a current scheme:

K10:
-Deneb
+Phenon x4
-Thuban
+Phenom x6

The archtecture is listed before the colon, the '-' denotes a die series, and the '+' features the Processor-in-a-box name.

So, If I were to get this right, this is how the Bulldozer scheme should look like:

K11Bulldozer:
-Interlagos(16 core,dual chip-on-substrate)
+Opteron
-Valencia(4-8 core single chip-on-substrate)
+Opteron
-Zambezi(4-8(mabey 16) core singlechip-on-substrate)
+Unknown

Bobcat:
-Falcon,( changedd to Swift)
-Swift,(canceled)
-Trinity
-Ontario
-Zacate
-Wichita
-Krishna

Llano: Altered Athlon/Phenom corresopnding with the "Fusion" chip.

If anything is out of place or missing, pleas inquire.

Thank You.

Is this really K11? Hadn't heard them talk of BD that way at all. Then again it is a new arch but still even with the info we have its still sketchy, especially the release since its just slated for 2011 with no quarter or time defined.

Plus the idea sound good but that can always backfire much like Netburst did or Barcelona where it looks great on paper but bad in application.

Of course we will have to wait and see. Lets just hope it is somewhat competative with Sandy Bridge so prices will be lower.

Have never heard Bulldozer referred to as K11 before, and your listing of what K11 would be is way off. Bulldozer, Llano, and Bobcat are on completely different architectures, if one were to get called K11, the other 2 wouldn't.

Bulldozer is a new arch built from the ground up, so is Bobcat, but they vary greatly. Llano on the other hand is a modified Athlon II/Phenom II with integrated 5000 series gpu.
