AMD 240

AMD 240 Athlon

I had to change my mobo lately and i did not have any thermal paste with me so i fixed the processor with what was left on the heatsink and now the temps reach max 46C on load. Before it used to be 37C on load.Just want to know if this is gonna be an issue when it comes to processor life span?.

  1. Only slightly, but you should get it together ASAP with some AS5 or something, as you know, the idea is to keep the temp as low as possible, just monitor your temps until,,,.:)
  2. Meh, it's not exactly a hot running CPU. Even so, you should replace the thermal paste and certainly don't try to overclock it like that :p.
