Replacing motherboard

Solution
You should not need to buy a new copy. If you have trouble with authenticating the new Windows 7 install (assuming you do a fresh install, which is a good way to avoid issues with the motherboard drivers), you can always call Microsoft and explain the situation. I've had to do this twice. Easy enough.
