Fail to boot, when it boots , it restarts again and again

Hello,
I have p4 IBM machine, it was working before then it was attacked by virus, i tried to run the ant virus software, thereafter, things worsen by bringing a think vantage massage, blue screen . from there,it was kept fore some time. on resuming it , it booted, then an error massage appear saying not OS is found.Then it restarts,that was for the first day. then when i try it again, it refused to boot i tried to remove ram put it back rebooted still nothing came up. then after some time it came on. i tried even to reinstall it but when i put the installation Cd, it roads properly the drivers and when it reaches press; R or ENTER to continue when you press, it tells you to press f3 to restart what should be the problem?

Well,,, you could boot to your windoze install cd and wait for the repair option, maybe you will get lucky, sounds like the first FAT table is corrupted,if you have a floppy you could run scandisk from Dos and maybe it will give you a clue as to what is what..

seatools for dos
ubcd4win -> prime95

P4 -> old, time for a new one perhaps
