I5 760 Strange Dimple Marks?

I just bought a new i5 760 from the egg. I opened it up and I was looking it over when I realized the pads had dimple marks that I'd assume are from where Intel tested the processor. The strange thing is that like 10-15 of the pads don't even have a scuff mark on them? I'm not worried or anything, just curious if anyone knows why? Maybe Intel doesn't need to use those specific pads to test it?

  1. I wouldn't worry about it unless you get BSoDs or no POST problems. You're probably right, it may have been from testing.

Keep it in mind though, in case you have problems down the road.
