Sell whole rig or part it out?

I have a mid-range gaming rig that is worth about $1200 if you were to buy all the parts on new egg right now. however, I want to sell it now and was wondering if it's better to part it out or to sell the system as a whole? also where is the best place to sell it? thanks!

Offer to sell after you provide a detailed listing of the components. Generally, a working computer is better positioned for a sale as compared to a bunch of used parts.

anyway, here it is (these are all rough prices i think, i checked a few weeks ago):

the total comes out to be a little over $1100, so closer to that, not $1200 like my original post sorry.

anyways, that would be the price if you bought all the components brand new today, but i built this about 7 months ago so they are a little used. what should i price it around?

if anyone wants/needs more detailed names of products (like product numbers or something) just let me know, i'll be happy to post 'em

It has decent components all the way around. id sell the computer as a whole. if you can build it now for 1100 id take off 10-15% + labor for building and try and sell. You can always overrpice the computer at first to get a feel for what people are willing to pay then adjust accordinly. worst that will happen is no 1 bites =p goodluck

also it wouldn't hurt to include a detail pricing for the buyers. let them know what you paid and what their getting. should help your chances.
