Would these pcs run The sims 3?

Hiya,

I am thinking of getting a new pc and was wondering whether it would work with Sims 3:

Intel Core i3-530 2.93GHz
nVidia GeForce GT240 1GB
4 GB DDR3 1333MHz
Windows 7

and

Intel DualCore E6500 2.93GHz
Ati Radeon HD4650 1GB
KINGSTON DDR2 2GB 800MHz CL6
Windows 7

If both work, which is better?

Probably the top one i'd say.

The I3 is a better CPU to the E6500.
I'm going to guess that the GT240 and 4650 are roughly the same.
4Gb of DDR3 1333 is much better than 2GB of DDR2 800 MHz
Windows 7 is irrelevant, make sure its 64bit though.

Actually both with ease, the Sims 3 is really not a demanding games and an IGP should even do the job.

For other games to be played by you in future other then sims 3 choose the above one
its better than the other having hd 4650.
