SSD installation

Just bought Sandisk Extreme 120Gb, and although correctly detected by BIOS, the disk does not show up in the browser. And the WinXP (32) system does not detect new hardware. I am using a MSI P6NGM-FD main board with 3 G/s SATA. Any suggestion of what to do?

Go into Windows Disk Management, initialize the SSD, assign it a drive letter, and Quick Format the drive. It should then be ready to use.
