How to 'properly' use old HDD in a new build as a boot drive

January 7, 2013 4:54:40 AM

Hey every one. So, I just bought all the parts for my next build and they are on their way to my house. I have a 7200 RPM WD 1TB Black in an old computer that I want to use as the primary drive in my new build. I wanna put windows on that drive. Could someone please tell me how I should go about preparing (formatting, partitioning, etc) for a fresh install of windows 7 on a new machine. Also, I want to completely wipe the drive before putting it in the new build. Thanks in advance!
