Alienware M17 R1

I have had severe heat issues with my Alienware laptop which seems to be a common problem for those who chose the quad core processor.

I've read in several forums about copper modding as a solution to reduce the heat generated from the Northbridge. I cannot find any guidance on the proper way to do it. Or how to do it for this exact model.

Would appreciate any instruction or materials list on how I can improve the performance of this regretful purchase.

Thanks for the link. Yes there is quite a bit of info on the M17 there but I couldnt find the exact fix I was hoping to apply.
