Windows unable to format memory card

I tried to format my Sandisk 2gb microSD card with both windows xp and phone but it says unable to format, this card is corrupted but is read by the pc as a removable 2gb disk so its healthy but just corrupted...please help...

What is the file-system? (FAT, FAT32, exFAT, NTFS, ext2, etc.)

Some devices only support FAT or FAT32, so that might be why.

You sound like the kind of person that can figure this out easily enough.

The system is FAT i've tried it with Fat32 too but neither worked, tried disk management and cmd but it still won't format...I know this card is alright but its just corrupted...can you suggest how to format it?

so finally its become a challenge, I couldn't format the card even with the authentic software provided by the website itself!
