Hp power supply sucks!

I have a year and a half old CQ60 that turned itself off last night and will not turn back on. I have tried the obvious-unplugging cord, removing battery then pulgging in cord...nothing works! Any advice would be great

does it have a little light by where the plug goes into the laptop and does that light up?
hp/compaq are junk (at least this series like yours and the hp pavilition series have lots of issue.

yes the powwer bricks die easily, but if it has nvidia graphics it may also have a failed mobo, since the nvidia graphics chip overheat due to hps insufficient cooling and other solder issues and then the chip desolders itself

thank you for replying.
yes there is a little light next to where the plug connects. that light eluminates, the light on the front of the computer that tells if it is plugged in however will not. as far as I am aware the computer does not have nvidia graphics.

ok, but if you did have nvidia then there would be an nvidia sticker on the palmrest (unless you took it off)

i still think its the mobo, since youre getting input but no output
