For India:

The warranty is for 3 years from date of purchase on that model, unless it was puchased before March 1st 2007, in which case the warranty is only for 2 years from date of purchase.

Please note that the warranty applies only to drives purchased from an authorized WD distributor or authorized retailer, and you must be able to produce the receipt with any warranty claims.
