6 plus 2 pin connectors?

On my seasonic 750 watt psu it has four 6 pin connectors each of which has a 2 pin branching off from them, is this considered an 8 pin connector?

They are 6+2 pin connectors and will work as 6 pin PCI-e connectors, or as 8 pin connectors.
