so im currently running a 5770

3gb ddr2 800mhz
Msi 790xt-g45
Phenom II x4 955 @3.84ghz
Antec 650w PSU

my question is. do you think i should sell my 5770 and buy a 5850? or just crossfire the 5770

iv got eyefinity x3 @ 3840x1024 res. will that be a problem with dual 5770s? which would give me better performance at the resolution?

Since you already have a 5770,then go with another 5770. 2 5770s perform better than 1 5850.

thanks for replying. how much better do you think they perform? im just wondering if two 5770's is even poewrful enough to play games like Metro 2033 and Crysis at that resolution. what do you think?

also how much hotter does crossfire usually run? and do you think i could overclock them close to 5870 strength. iv heard single 5850 can do that

2x5770s will perform about 10-15% faster than a 5850.(Making them perform on par with 5870 in some games) and 5770 is a great OC'er too.

As for those games, you may need to lower the settings a bit in order to get smooth gameplay on those games.
