I recently came to the realization that my old AMD FX-53 rig can't handle new games anymore. I'm not looking to play anything to intense, but it would be nice to be able to play SC2 CivV and Diablo3 when it comes out.
I'm looking at the combo below
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.494547

AMD Athlon II X4 620 Propus 2.6GHz Socket AM3 95W Quad-Core
ASUS EAH5550/DI/1GD3(LP) Radeon HD 5550 1GB 128-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.1 x16

It seems pretty solid and I am about to pull the trigger, but I'm running into problems finding a good MoBo/memory combo to go with it, has anyone seen any deals?
Price is a big deal, but future upgrade compatibility is not.
Thanks for any help or input you can offer, I'm not up to date on my tech knowledge and am in over my head!

This is what I would recommend for a solid budget upgrade which will last quite a while and allow you to play those games at max or near max settings.

Athlon X3 445 Rana 3.1 GHz and ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO $162.98

OCZ 4GB DDR3 1600 and HIS Radeon HD 5770 $174.98 after rebates

If you are set on getting a quad core you have a couple options.

Athlon II X4 620 Propus 2.6GHz and ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO $175.99

Athlon II X4 640 Propus 3.0GHz and ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO $181.98

I assume you will reuse your case, HDD, ODD and PSU?

Thanks for your input kureme,
My Case, HDDs, ODDs, and PSU should all be fine.
2 things I forgot to mention, I plan on running windows 7 and I would like an HDMI port so I can hook it up to my flat screen. That being said, the MoBo you picked out looks good, it would be nice to have basic functionality if my GPU ever goes.

Do you think that Radeon 5770 will offer a significant upgrade over the 5550 I had picked out? It's only a $40 difference after combos/rebates, but I was really looking to stay closer to $300 instead of 400
